The Developer

“The Sacramento office market is strengthening. And because a project of this magnitude takes time to go through the entitlement and planning process, we are confident that our timing will coincide with the demand.”

Alexander V. Leon President, Vanir Development Company, Inc.

A family of companies that create environments of lasting value around the world.

Founded in San Bernardino California by H. Frank Dominguez in 1964, Vanir has enhanced the quality of public space and public life through its development, project management, energy systems and philanthropic organizations.

The Vanir commitment to Sacramento runs deep.

Sacramento’s public space is marked with schools, hospitals, and public buildings that exemplify Vanir’s presence in the daily life of the region. The historic restoration and seismic upgrade of the Stanley Mosk Library and Court Building, UC Davis Health System Sciences Education Building, and the restoration of the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament in downtown Sacramento are among such works.

Since 2004, the philanthropic efforts of The Dominguez Dream in Memory of H. Frank Dominguez have enhanced opportunities for academic achievement in partnership with local schools, contributing to a brighter future for children from all walks of life. Dorene Dominguez, CEO/Chairman of the Vanir Group of Companies, Inc., stepped forward with an initial investment in the Sacramento Kings when the city needed support. She is the first Latina in history to be part owner of an NBA team.

The Vanir family of companies, with offices world‐wide, is comprised of more than 300 professionals, including architects, engineers, construction managers, contractors, developers and philanthropic staff.
